The incense burns slowly, languid, meandering; insinuating volatile curves that both entice and soothe me.
The quiet is austere, almost harrowing, for when we have grown accustomed to the corrosive social climate that permeates the air, after all that unfolds and unravels in a single day of our lives, we still resist falling silent, listening closely to ourselves, and witnessing what our SOUL truly asks for.
We have forgotten how to listen—not only to others, but to ourselves, to the Divine.
Tonight cannot be shared with anyone else, even if I were surrounded by the largest crowd on earth; this night belongs only to me, to me and my Soul.
A Tribute to the Soul
I have decided to pay homage tonight—not to my physical body, my ego, or my social persona, but to my Soul. Because tonight it is she who is born and reborn; transcending the barriers of ego and moral conventions, transgressing the rigid dogmas that enslave us, it is she who is BORN. Because only She knows this nocturnal realm of colors, sounds, fragrances, and subtle perceptions…
Tonight it burns, in the presence of three candles, for they say that flames shine brighter when gathered together. It is true that by their light I write these words, and it is equally true that in their glow I shall conclude.
Tonight time is measured in sticks of incense; let us leave behind clocks, rushing, schedules, day and night; we are already sufficiently trapped, our fleshly prison constricting enough without imposing arbitrary routines and timetables upon ourselves.
Cognimiscence
We satisfy our material existence, but what of ourselves—of that inner I crying out within our depths? We never unleash it out of terror that we cannot master it. Some label it madness—what do they know—others brand it schizophrenia—knowing even less; I call it COGNIMISCENCE: discovering oneself and learning to listen, knowing how to live in intimate harmony with that quiet inner voice, our Consciousness.
