Carbonara Chawen: Italian pasta with a cannabis twist
Ingredients:
- Oil
- Bacon
- Heavy cream
- Marijuana leaves to taste (mind the dosage)
Dice the bacon into small pieces and fry in a little oil, being careful not to let the edges get too crispy.
Once you have removed the bacon, add the herb to the oil used for frying. Let it simmer over low heat for two minutes without letting it sizzle.
Then add the heavy cream, cook for one more minute, and you can strain the mixture.
It is ready to be mixed with the bacon and served over the pasta.
It is delicious.
Harm reduction note
When cooking with cannabis, it is important to remember that oral effects can take significantly longer to appear than those from inhalation and may also last much longer. For this reason, it is prudent to avoid repeating a serving out of impatience, to keep the preparation out of the reach of minors and pets, and to avoid driving or performing high-risk tasks after consuming cannabis-infused foods. This recipe is preserved here as a cultural and culinary document: it is not a substitute for medical or legal advice, and each person must consider their own context, tolerance, and local regulations.
